NUSHU R: helping stroke patients recover

From October 26 to October 27 the NUSHU R kickoff meeting took place at Magnes HQ.

NUSHU R is our latest European project in collaboration with DeepBlue and EBRI (European Brain Research Institute by Rita Levi-Montalcini). NUSHU R is an Eureka Eurostars project running for 2 years starting September 2022. We are looking forward to a successful collaboration with our Italian partners and cannot wait to share more updates on the project’s outcome with the world. Stay tuned for more!

About the Project:

Together with our project partners, we are developing a wearable, at-home gait rehabilitation system for stroke survivors. The system is based on Magnes NUSHU smart shoes with integrated sensors. The system can analyze movements in real-time and includes haptic stimulators that give immediate feedback to individuals wearing the shoes enabling personalized at-home rehabilitation exercises.

Founded in 2002 by Nobel Laureate Rita Levi-Momtalcini, EBRI is an international research center that fosters and promotes brain research with the aim of finding new therapies for neurodegenerative diseases and other neurological disorders.

About DeepBlue:
